Built for how
intelligence actually grows

Canopy is an Enterprise Architecture management platform that creates a living digital twin of your IT landscape — giving teams a single, governed source of truth for every application, capability, process, and decision.

A living system for connected organizations

Most EA tools are built around rigid metamodels — fixed types, fixed fields, fixed rules. Canopy is built differently. Card types, fields, subtypes, relations, and stakeholder roles are all configuration, not code — so your architecture model evolves as your organisation does, without waiting for a vendor release.

Business Capability Map — full size

01

Modular Architecture

Start with the core inventory and expand when you're ready. Business Process Management, Project Portfolio Management, and GRC are optional modules that administrators can enable without any redeployment — combine freely as your EA practice matures.

02

Always Current

Real-time event streaming notifies stakeholders the moment architecture changes. AI-powered analysis surfaces patterns across your portfolio — vendor sprawl, functional duplicates, modernisation opportunities — on demand, when you need them.

03

Shared Architecture Practice

Stakeholder roles, threaded comments, data-maintenance surveys, and approval workflows make architecture knowledge a team practice — not a solo EA exercise. Every role sees the same model; every change is attributed and auditable.

Everything you need to connect, understand, and act

Purpose-built capabilities that work together as a unified system — or independently, wherever you need them.

Unified EA Inventory

Capture your entire IT landscape in a single governed inventory. Import from Excel or CSV, migrate from existing EA tools like LeanIX, or sync directly from ServiceNow CMDB — all consolidated into one configurable data model.

Configurable Metamodel

Define card types, fields, subtypes, relations, and stakeholder roles as data — not code. Every field carries a data-quality weight, so completeness scores automatically reflect your organisation's own definition of a well-documented asset.

Lifecycle & Governance Workflows

Model business processes in BPMN 2.0, track initiatives through structured lifecycle stages, and enforce governance through card approval workflows and TOGAF-aligned Architecture Decision Records — all within the same platform.

Intelligence Graph

Visualize and navigate the relationships between applications, capabilities, processes, and infrastructure using the Layered Dependency View. Understand how change propagates — and see the blast radius of any proposed modification before committing it.

API-First Architecture

Every capability is exposed as a clean, versioned REST API with extensive OpenAPI documentation. Integrate Rhizo into any stack, automate via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, or build custom tooling on top of the full API surface.

Real-time Notifications

Real-time event streaming, stakeholder role assignments, threaded card comments, and a full audit trail keep architecture teams aligned. When something changes, the right people know immediately — with full context on what changed and who changed it.

Connects to the tools you already use

Canopy connects to the tools at the heart of your IT operations. A comprehensive REST API and Model Context Protocol server mean you can integrate with anything — and an adapter-based migration framework makes it straightforward to import from the EA tools you're already using.

Trust built into every layer

Security isn't a feature — it's a foundation. Rhizo is designed from the ground up with enterprise-grade security, privacy, and compliance at every layer of the stack.

Isolated Tenancy, Your Choice of Model

Every Rhizo instance runs on Google Cloud Platform with a dedicated compute service and an isolated database — your architecture data is never commingled with another organisation's. No telemetry, no shared schemas, no cross-tenant access.

Role-based Access Control

Configurable roles with granular per-feature permission keys, supplemented by card-level stakeholder roles that grant additional access on specific assets. Administrators define exactly what each team member can view, create, edit, or approve.

Audit Logging & Compliance

Every create, update, and delete action is recorded in a structured event log linked to the actor, timestamp, and affected asset. The MCP server additionally tracks write operations in labelled mutation batches, making AI-agent actions fully attributable and reversible.
